Ah, the Super Bowl. Not just for the football, but for the jaw-dropping spectacle of ads that always get our attention. In 2025, the big guns of the advertising world were out in full force, delivering work that left us talking, laughing, and sometimes even reaching for our wallets. So, let’s dive into our favourites from this year’s Super Bowl.
Kendra’s pick
Nike: So Win
Nike's 2025 spot left us sweating, and we’re not just talking about the athletes. "So Win" was a high-energy, adrenaline-pumping montage featuring legendary athletes pushing their limits in ways that made us want to get up and run a marathon. The concept was simple, but oh-so-effective: winning doesn’t happen by accident – it’s earned through sweat, determination, and hustle. A bold statement from Nike, wrapped up in visually stunning moments, this ad reminded us why they’re still the brand to beat. And, of course, it ended with a huge “Just Do It” punch to the chest. We’re all in.
Em’s pick
Ram Trucks: Goldilocks and the Three Trucks
Ram Trucks brought us a Super Bowl ad with a plot twist – and we mean a big plot twist. The ad featured Glen Powell (of Top Gun fame) narrating a hilarious, rugged twist on the classic fairytale, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” This time, it’s all about Goldilocks and three trucks, each one tougher and more epic than the last. It’s got all the good stuff: power, humour, and an unforgettable punchline. By the end of it, we were sold – if Ram trucks can make fairytales this fun, what else can they do?
Josh’s pick
Disney: Stitch Runs Loose
We’ve all had that “oops” moment, but Lilo & Stitch took it to the next level this year with Stitch Runs Loose. In this ad, we see the infamous alien causing absolute chaos around the world, and honestly, it was hilarious. The ad reminds us of the charm and chaotic energy that made Lilo & Stitch a beloved classic – and it felt like a fun love letter to the brand's playful side. Plus, it’s always great to see a brand lean into nostalgia while still keeping things fresh and fun. Disney hit it out of the park with this one.
Paul’s pick
MTN DEW: Official Song of Mountain Dew Baja Blast
Mountain Dew went big this year, and we mean big. They tapped music icons SEAL and Becky G, alongside none other than The Mountain Dude himself, for a jam-packed, lime-infused extravaganza. The ad, which doubles as the “official song” of Baja Blast, gave us the ultimate summer anthem – complete with neon colours, a funky beat, and some serious vibe. We were blasted with catchy tunes and zany visuals, and let’s be real, who knew we needed a duet with SEAL, Becky G, and a lime-flavoured soda mascot? Now we can’t get it out of our heads, and honestly, we don’t want to.
Josie’s pick
GoDaddy: Social Slickness
And then there’s GoDaddy, who came through with one of the funniest, most relatable ads of the year. Their 2025 spot, Social Slickness, had us chuckling at the world of influencer marketing and the lengths some will go to keep up their online personas. The ad parodies the hustle of chasing the perfect social media image, showcasing a character who tries to outdo everyone else by pulling all the “slick” moves. GoDaddy taps into the truth about online appearances with a witty, tongue-and-cheek perspective. It's sharp, funny, and so timely, reminding us that while social media may be all glitz and glam, GoDaddy’s tools help you cut through the noise and actually build something real.
The 2025 Super Bowl was one for the books. From the wild creativity of MTN DEW’s Baja Blast anthem to the heart-pumping intensity of Nike’s “So Win,” we were entertained, inspired, and sometimes left with a grin we couldn’t wipe off our faces. These brands know how to steal the spotlight, and they did just that—serving up ads that were clever, memorable, and downright fun.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be watching “Kiss From A Lime” on repeat while searching for a Ram truck and maybe rewatching Lilo & Stitch (again).
Until next year, Super Bowl!
